Ointment, M.Y. I am from a small country, where there are five of us meeting as the local church in our city (one family, one brother and two sisters). Although we are few, when we come together, we enjoy God by singing songs. We also call on the name of the Lord, Lord Jesus; His name is so sweet to me. Because I had such sweet experiences in the church, I decided to go to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) to know God more deeply. I want to know Him, and seek Him. During my days in the FTTA, I have had the most precious time of my life. I am not doing big things but I am really so happy to know God. Grace is God Himself for our enjoyment. (John 1:17, Footnote 1, Recovery Version of the New Testament) Day by day, I just know one thing--to seek God and to enjoy Him. One morning, when trying to decide if I should stay in the Training for another term, I read a story from the Bible. In Mark 14:3-9 a woman came to Jesus having an alabaster flask of ointment, of great value, and she poured it on His head. But there were some who were indignantly commenting among themselves: Why had this waste of the ointment been made? For this ointment could have been sold for over three hundred denarii and given to the poor. And they were infuriated with her. But Jesus said, Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? ....She has anointed My body beforehand for the burial. I was so touched by the story. I realized that I must love the Lord and grasp the opportunity now to love Him. God is my first love. In the Training, I really learned that to love the Lord is not by doing, working, or any other outward thing, but by bringing everything I have, and pouring it out on Him. When I break them on the Lord, He gives me a blessing; probably, not a material blessing, but the blessing of gaining more of the Lord's life (Colossians 2:19). I am so attracted by the Lord. He is so tender, full of love and grace. Jesus is a loving person who lives in me. When I love Him with the first love just like the woman who poured the ointment on His head, the entire house smells with the fragrance. This is a charming story to me and is also so real for me in my experience. The Training is the best place for me to know God--who He is, what He has done, and how He loves us. Through the Training, I realize that my life is for the Lord. He doesn't want me to do something good without Him. He just wants me to pour my ointment on Him and give my life to Him. He will guide me in my Christian walk throughout my life. My only desire is to make the Lord happy, satisfy His heart. I love Him. I desire to sense His precious smile within. Lord, I love You.
